Friday:

Omid Djalili – Colston Hall

Omid Djalili, the comedian, writer and actor of Iranian descent has been a firm favourite of audiences ever since his emergence onto the scene back in 1995. His latest show Schmuck for a Night has been doing the rounds and attracting rave reviews – make up your own mind at Colston Hall.

 

Gloucestershire vs Somerset One Day – County Ground

Gloucestershire’s latest fixture in the Royal London One Day Cup sees them take on local rivals Somerset, who currently sit atop the division at the Brightside Stadium.

Andrea Luka Zimmerman exhibition tour – Spike Island

Take a guided tour around Common Ground, the first UK solo exhibition from celebrated filmmaker Andrea Luka Zimmerman, which explores the idea of community, whilst proposing new methods for communal living.

Let’s hear it for the beer! All hail to the ale! This weekend sees the Brandon Hill Beer Festival, a celebration of the liquid gold, take place amongst the gregarious gaggle of pubs in central Bristol comprised of The Hope and Anchor, The Bag of Nails, The Three Tuns and The Lime Kiln. Expect music, magic and a spot of merriment.

This weekend, over 150 artists and makers will be sharing their work with the public at the 15th annual Southbank Bristol Arts Trail – one of the largest, liveliest and longest-running community arts events in Bristol – which incorporates 45 spaces across Bedminster, Southville and Ashton.
