Omid Djalili at Colston Hall in Bristol on 12 May 2017

Omid Djalili, who has been doing stand-ups for years, is finally here on Friday 12 May 2017 at Colston Hall in Bristol.

 

Djalili has won many awards for his stand-up, and has written, produced, and has been on TV and in movies. He has come from Edinburgh Festival after achieving great successes from his shows ‘Fat Kebab Shop Owner’s Son’, ‘Short’ and ‘The Arab and The Jew’ back in the 1990s.

 

His career has some of the best experiences: he has broken the box office records at Edinburgh Festival, has been in movies like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, The World Is Not Enough, The Mummy, and he has had his own radio show on BBC 1.

 

Other awards include Best Stand-up award by Time-Out, EMMA, Best Actor for his work in The Infidel at the Turin Film Festival. The film also got into LAFTA for Funniest Film and he was shortlisted for Peter Sellers Award at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards.
