A brand-new Bristol arts trail, Unicornfest, is just around the corner

Posted on: 21 Jun 2023

Announced back in November last year, this magical trail around Bristol landmarks follows on from previous city-wide trails featuring sculptures of gorillas and Gromits.

Unicornfest takes place across the streets of Bristol from Saturday 1 July 2023.

This brand-new arts trail looks set to be the perfect adventure for the whole family, taking you across Bristol as well as selected locations around the South-West collecting selfies at custom-painted Unicorn sculptures, painted by a roster of top local artists.

Find out more about Unicornfest on the art trail website.

The arts trail is part of the grand 650th-anniversary celebrations for the city of Bristol. Unicornfest aims to unite the business and creative sectors, as well as local communities and schools across the city and the surrounding region, bringing art, colour, and fun to the streets of Bristol.

From next month, Bristolians will be able to celebrate summer along the Unicornfest Trail, with unicorns spread across Bristol and the wider South-West with sculptures located at Clifton Suspension Bridge, Weston-Super-Mare pier and more.

Unicornfest will be raising funds for Leukaemia Care – the UK’s leading leukaemia charity. The charity offers vital information and support services to patients in Bristol and beyond. Find out all about Leukaemia Care from the charity’s website.

Alongside the trail, Unicornfest organisers have organised a range of workshops and events including unicorn painting, educational workshops, a fundraising auction and more. Find out more here.

To complement the art trail, organisers have launched a fantastic app featuring a trail map and more in conjunction with creative partners RocketMakers. The Unicornfest app will be released over the coming months and will be available on all major app stores.

Unicornfest takes place across the streets of Bristol from Saturday 1 July 2023 – find out more HERE.
