Trinity Centre announces details for their 2023 Garden Party

Taking place later this month, the annual Trinity Garden Party 2023 is all set to be a vibrant celebration of the beginning of summer. 

 

The Trinity Garden Party will take place on Sunday 14 May between 12 PM and 9 PM and is FREE to attend.

 

Also featuring a fantastic programme of family activities, workshops, arts and crafts, comedy, poetry, spoken word, stalls, food, bar and more, this year’s garden party boasts a musical lineup of Dazee & Jakes, Magugu, Badliana, Laimu and Luna.

Trinity’s much loved annual Garden Party is back again this month for another day of celebrations with the popular venue once more opening its gates to the public. This family-friendly community spectacular will feature a mix of brilliant local artists, bands and performers throughout the day.

 

The garden lineup will feature Drum & Bass/Jungle DJs Dazee and Jakes; Dance Hall, hip-hop, dub and grime MC Magugu; percussionist and balofonist Ben Baddoo; alternative RnB/rap star Badliana; jazz and soul artist Laimu; indie rock singer-songwriter FELIX and neo-soul and indigenous folk act Luna Kali.

 

Elsewhere, Trinity Centre’s main hall will host dance workshops with local community dance group Movema, a performance from senior dance company Gerry’s Attic, a Kid's Craft corner, and drumming and storytelling. Fyfe Hall (located upstairs) will see a busy programme of spoken word, stand-up comedy and an open mic event.

Located in BS2, Trinity Centre is a long-running music venue and community arts space that has been serving the people of Bristol for the best part of 40 years. From its stained-glass windows to its raised ceilings, a spacious wooden dancefloor and community vibe, Trinity Centre has all the makings of a proper Bristol venue.

 

Over the years, the likes of Joy Division, U2, Bauhaus, Eek a Mouse, The Buzzcocks, The Prodigy, Public Enemy and Damon Albarn have all played the prestigious venue.
