Posted on: 18 Apr 2023

The beloved South Bristol boozer, a favourite amongst students and locals alike, a returning for the second time with an action-packed all-dayer filled with live music, food, drink and plenty of dancing.

The Coronation Pub Street Party will take place from midday to 11 PM on Saturday 6 May.

Located on Kingston Road, Southville, BS3 1DD, The Coronation is a staple of the Bristol beer scene. Often regarded as a hidden gem within the wider context of the city, ‘The Coro’ is an immensely popular destination for drinkers to the south of the river despite its small stature.

This is a FREE event.

Following the success of the inaugural Coronation Street Party last year, this exciting event is set to feature free live music and entertainment throughout the day with food provided by Casa-Latina, an authentic Latin American food stall, and two bars – with slush cocktails and cider slush served outside.

Once more kicking off the busy schedule is the children’s act Captain Barnacle (Mr Brown Pig) between 12 PM and 2 PM. The swashbuckling pirate hero has been performing at local children’s parties and festivals for over 15 years and is sure to bring plenty of laughs to the occasion.

The musical programme will yet again be an eclectic one with acoustic and solo acts performing between 2 PM and 5 PM, samba sets at 5.15 PM and 7 PM, and local live bands between 7.30 PM and 10 PM. The Street Party will then be concluded with an hour of silent disco dancing between 10 PM and 11 PM with headphones available to hire for £4.

In addition to a full bar from The Coronation, food lovers will be able to enjoy a large all-day menu with plenty of vegan options. The Coronation Pub Street Party is a FREE event and will take place from midday to 11 PM on Saturday 6 May.

In addition to boasting a surprisingly cheap food and drinks menu, the pub runs a busy schedule of regular activities. Each Monday they host a popular quiz boasting a range of prizes, attendees are required to message in advance to book a table.
