Known for their modern take on classic rock and roll, Kings Of Leon are a family band made up of brothers Caleb (guitar), Jared (bass) and Nathan (drums) as well as cousin Matthew (guitar) Followill. The band formed in 1999 after the brothers discovered rock following an evangelical upbringing and relatively sheltered musical education.

After getting signed in the early 2000s, Kings Of Leon quickly won over swathes of fans with their early records Youth & Young Manhood (2003) and Asha Shake Heartbreak (2004) characterised by a retro, garage rock sound.

Their international breakthrough, however, came with a move to more accessible arena rock sound in the 2008 album Only by the Night, which birthed mammoth hits ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’. The Tennessee-bred band continued this streamlined approach with subsequent records, Come Around Sundown, Mechanical Bull, Walls and When You See Yourself.

In addition to Bristol, the UK and European leg of Kings Of Leon’s Can We Please Have Fun world tour will see them play venues in Leeds, Birmingham, Linz, London, Glasgow, Silverstone, Dublin, Nottingham, Manchester, Cologne, Vieilles Charrues, Krakow and Deichbrand. Find out more from the band’s website.
