Alvvays – made up of vocalist/guitarist Molly Rankin, guitarist Alec O’Hanley, bassist Brian Murphy and drummer Phil MacIsaac - first burst onto the scene with the charming single ‘Archie, Marry Me’ in 2014. The song featured on the band’s self-titled debut album the same year which made the band something of a sensation within the indie sphere.

Their sophomore album, Antisocialites, came in 2017 and also received widespread acclaim, winning a Juno Award for Group of the Year. Their third record hit difficulties, delayed first by a stolen laptop and then by a flooded basement! The eagerly anticipated Blue Rev was released in 2022 and was nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance at the Grammys.

In addition to Bristol, Alvvays’ UK/EU summer ’24 tour will see the band drop by venues in Wicklow, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, London, Antwerp, Luxembourg, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Roskilde, Berlin, Heidelberg, Milan, Bologna, Madrid, Bilbao and Oslo. Find out more from the band’s website.

SWX already have a music event schedule jam-packed with some of the biggest names around with shows from Hobo Johnson, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Say She She, Barry Can’t Swim, The Staves, Goldie Lookin Chain and more all planned. Browse the full programme here.
