Following a smash hit success once again last year with post-punk buzz band Yard Act headlining, Dot To Dot organisers have today announced that leftfield pop outfit Jockstrap will headline the 2024 edition of the festival.

Made up of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Georgia Ellery (also of Black Country, New Road) and electronic producer Tyler Skye, Jockstrap formed after the pair met at the prestigious Guildhall Music School in London and have since become one of the most talked about acts in UK music.

Ellery’s emotional, delicate vocals juxtaposing with Skye’s throbbing, and often disjointed production forged the duo’s unique brand of electronica and saw them hit various landmarks early on, collaborating with avant-pop provocateur Dean Blunt in 2018 and signing for leftfield music heavyweights in 2020.

This year, Jockstrap have been nominated for a Mercury Award nomination for their critically acclaimed 2022 debut album, I Love You Jennifer B, and, last month, they released a completely reimagined version of the album, I<3UQTINVU which deconstructed the previous incarnation of the record and reconstructed it with features from various guests.

Also included in this first wave of acts for Dot To Dot 2024 is East London singer-songwriter Aziya, DIY country outfit Florry, Austin indie pop duo Hovvdy, Chinese-Vietnamese-British rapper Jianbo, London art punks Man/Woman/Chainsaw, “chaos rok trio” Mary In The Junkyard, ear crashing Welsh group Panic Shack, current buzz band Picture Parlour and more.
