Paul Weller announces April 2024 tour including massive Bristol show

Posted on: 24 Nov 2023

Returning to Bristol Beacon, the venue he appeared at to great aplomb in 2017 (before its recent refurbishment and name change), The Modfather is back.

Paul Weller will perform at Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Friday 5 April 2024.

The legendary singer-songwriter and former frontman of The Jam and The Style Council is the latest musical legend to be announced for the newly reopened venue’s busy event programme; other luminaries include Billy Bragg, Jools Holland, The Pretenders, Echo & The Bunnymen, James Blunt, Adam Ant and more.

Tickets for this show go on general sale at 10 AM next Friday 1 December 2023.

Often referred to as ‘The Modfather’, Weller has been at the pinnacle of British music for an incredible 50 years, whether that be providing the soundtrack for a generation as a young man, his soulful reinvention with The Style Council and his decades-spanning solo career.

An artist who is always on the lookout for ways to develop and reshape his music, Weller (now 65) has connected with fans across generations and is regarded as a cultural icon thanks to his distinctive mod-inspired fashion as much as his music.

With a range of hits that includes ‘Town Called Malice’, ‘That’s Entertainment’ and ‘Going Underground’ with The Jam; ‘Shout To The Top’ and ‘You’re The Best Thing’ with The Style Council; and ‘You Do Something To Me’, ‘Wild Wood’ and ‘The Changingman’ as a solo artist, this show is sure to prove a smash hit success.

As well as Bristol, Paul Weller’s April tour will see him play venues in Poole, Newport, Southend, Leicester, Sheffield, Stoke, Stockton, Dunfermline, Blackburn, York, Lincoln, Aylesbury and Cambridge. Find out more on Weller’s website.
