With the weather forecast, in general, good it’s time to plan your weekend with, for the first time, six performance areas taking over Bristol city centre.

Bristol Harbour Festival runs across Bristol harbourside from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July 2024.

The city has officially sailed into the summer season as the beloved annual celebration of Bristol’s maritime history returns this weekend with a stellar line-up of live music, theatre, circus, spoken word, dance performances and spectacular water displays – bigger and better than ever!

Find out more from the Bristol Harbour Fest website.

‘Harbour View’ will see the main stage return to Canons Marsh Amphitheatre, presenting some of the South West’s best talent, from Grove to Eva Lazarus. Queen Square will showcase Bristol’s diversity, with emerging acts performing at the Bristol Rising Stage and the incredible RSVP Drummers in the Dance Tent.

The new Expression stage at Millennium Square will host talks, debates and panels with industry leaders in the fields of music and maritime as well as jazz, blues and spoken word. College Green will again be the place for the young and young at heart with a mind-boggling programme, alongside dance, acrobatics and even ‘Baby Racing’!

Iconic music venue Thekla, which this year celebrated its 40th birthday, will kick off its festival programme with a classic silent disco before a talent filled lineup takes over – including a DJ set from Bristolian legend Jayde Adams. Maritime fans will also be wowed by thrilling on-the-water displays, from fan favourites to new spectacles.

If that’s not enough, there will also be various Fringe events popping up across city-centre venues, from short films at Bristol Aquarium to acoustic sets at Coffee Club. In terms of food, expect top-quality traders from Bristol and beyond, including Awakened Table, El Cabron Taco, Hidden Pizza, Brisket Brothers and more.

Bristol Harbour Festival runs across Bristol harbourside from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July 2024. Visit the festival’s website to browse the full programme.
