When the charmingly foppish owner of a quaint bookshop falls head over heels for a stunning international superstar, he expects awkward dates and grand romantic gestures—not a one-way trip to the fiery depths of the underworld. But with horses, hounds, and the cursed offspring of Satan himself standing between him and the woman of his dreams, he's about to discover that true love requires sacrifice... quite a lot of human sacrifice, in fact. Oh, bugger! This summer, romance is going to be hell.
Following a series of sold out shows over the Christmas period in 2024, Notting Hell will be gracing the stage at The Old Market Assembly 14th July - 8th August.

Directed by Helena Seneca, Notting Hell is a riotous alternative-comedy parody mash-up from The Wardrobe Theatre, the creators of Moulin Scrooge, The Good, The Bad & The Coyote Ugly, MDH: Puppets Do A Movie, Little Women In Black, Drac & Jill, and many more. Fast-paced, sharp-witted and devilishly funny, this latest theatrical romp serves up a gloriously absurd blend of romance, mayhem and infernal chaos—promising to be, in the immortal words of a certain bookshop owner, “surreal, but nice.”
After the success of the show in 2024, it's not a surprise that there was so much demand for The Wardrobe Thetre to run it back. With an exciting cast inlcuding some of the original actors, as well as some new talent, it is certainly not one to be missed.
