Since Miles Jupp’s last tour finished in 2017, he’s been in The Full Monty on Disney Plus, The Durrells and Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? on ITV, in addition to various episodes of Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and Have I Got News For You.

He’s also made an award-winning radio series and he’s published his own hilarious novel, titled History. If it wasn’t for covid, Jupp would have played a lead in the RSC but hey ho. Nevertheless, he’s done a play in the West End and even played the Emperor of Austria and Europe in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Napoleon biopic.

Yet, one sunny day in the midst of all this, Miles suddenly suffered a brain seizure that led to the discovery of a cherry tomato-sized tumour and a rather pressing need to undergo major neurosurgery. Obviously, Jupp didn’t want to make a big deal of this but the experience has left him with a story to tell and a few things he’d like to share with the room.

‘On I Bang’ signals Jupp’s return to touring and will see him play shows in Salford, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Chelmsford, Shrewsbury, Cardiff, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Swindon, Exeter, Brighton, Hull, Swansea, Cheltenham and more. Visit the comedian’s website for the full list.
