Griff Rhys Jones is back in Bristol next year with a brand-new stand up show

The much-loved actor, comedian and TV presenter is back on the road next year for a tour rescheduled from earlier this year, named ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’.

 

Griff Rhys Jones will perform ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ at the Redgrave Theatre on Saturday 25 May 2024.

 

Jones will once more be sharing funny observations and comic stories with his brand-new show. Not theme, the show always varies as the man himself rambles on the developing national permacrisis, age, family, fraud, nostalgia, the TikTok generation, crocodile smuggling and noodling in Australia, travel, dogs, hotels, drink, midnight trains and much more.

This new show, ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ is the follow up to Griff’s last international tour, the immensely successful, ‘All Over The Place’ which saw sell out runs in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

 

Away from his stand-up work, the Welsh icon is best known for his UK television career, having starred in the comedy sketch show Smith & Jones alongside Mel Smith, Rowan Atkinson and Pamela Stephenson.

 

Rhys Jones has also had an immensely successful career in the world of documentaries with acclaimed credits presenting shows including Three Men in a Boat, Mountain, Greatest Cities of the World, Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones and, recently, Griff’s Canadian Adventure.

 

In ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’, Bristolian comedy lovers will be able to join Griff for a fresh collection of insightful observations and hilarious stories. With no discernible theme, the performance will vary from show to show with plenty of rambling and Griff also taking questions from the audience.

 

As well as Bristol, Griff Rhys Jones’ tour will see him drop by venues in Maidstone, Beccles, Hemel Hempstead, Colchester, Norwich, Bradford-Upon-Avon, Liverpool, Bury St Edmunds, Epsom, Tunbidge Wells, Winchester, Hereford, Milton Keynes, Kingston, High Wycombe, Southend, Worthing, Oxford, and more.
