A UK comedy staple has announced his return to Bristol as part of a brand new tour

Posted on: 01 Nov 2023

Armed with his signature dark comedy and quick-fire one-liners, British television mainstay Jimmy Carr will be bringing his ‘Laugh Funny’ tour to Bristol in early 2025.

Jimmy Carr will drop by Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall for two shows on Friday 17 January 2025.

In ‘Laughs Funny’, Carr will be doing what he does best…tell jokes, and jokes are like magnets. They attract people, but they can also repel. With this in mind, this show is not for those who are repelled by the comedian’s jet black brand of comedy. Tickets for this massive show go on general sale on Friday 3 November.

One of the UK’s most recognisable comedians of the 21st century, Jimmy Carr is well known for his dark humour, quick-witted interactions with hecklers and, of course, his distinctive laugh.

After cutting his teeth with a slew of celebrated live tours, Carr quickly became a staple of the comedy scene, cementing himself as a regular on some of the country’s favourite TV shows as well as on some of the biggest stages.

From hosting hit shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year to regularly appearing as a guest on A League of Their Own and Have I Got News For You?, the London-born comedian is never far from the spotlight – particularly with his often controversial brand of dark humour!

In addition to Bristol, Jimmy Carr’s ‘Laugh Funny’ tour will appear at venues in Weston-Super-Mare, Dublin, Ipswich, Cork, Cheltenham, London, Belfast, Derry, Leicester, Bradford, Bath, Coventry, Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Manchester, Birmingham, Derby, Exeter, Brighton, Plymouth, Blackpool, Cardiff and many across 2024 and 2025.
