Bristol Beacon release full lineup for their ultimate reopening Houseparty

Posted on: 03 Nov 2023

The newly refurbished central Bristol venue have today announced another massive crop of artists for their all-day FREE party, celebrating the incredible talent right on our doorstep.

Bristol Beacon’s Housewarming event is FREE to attend and will take place on Saturday 2 December 2023.

Following a magnificent opening night event on Friday with ‘Trip The Light Fantastic’, this whole venue takeover will feature a host of previously announced talent as well as newly announced artists including Doreen Doreen, Krust, Ishmael Ensemble, Lady Nade and Elles Bailey.

This is a FREE non-ticketed event, head to the Bristol Beacon website for more information.

From established acts and festival favourites to local up-and-comers and the Beacon’s schools and community programmes, this all-Bristol music programme runs from 11 AM to 2 AM across all four venue spaces – namely Beacon Hall, Lantern Hall, Cellars, and Bridgehouse.

Revellers can expect back-to-back beats from the likes of Solomon O.B. and Deems Experimental, astonishing sets from Bristol Reggae Orchestra and Windrush Choir as well as sets from Elles Bailey, Up, Bustle & Out, Fantasy Orchestra, Vilk Collective and more during the day.

Taking Bristol into the night will be Da Fuchaman & His Fireblaze Band, Knives, B3nji, BUFFEE, John Stapleton, Kray-Z-Legz, Melissa Fear, RSVP Bhangra and more. This lineup is a beautifully dynamic and diverse representation of Bristol's burgeoning creative scene.

Ensuring that this is the case is The Housewarming Advisory Group - made up of legendary gig goer ‘Big’ Jeff Johns, inclusion worker and doula Natalie Thomas-Gayle, poet and artist Olamiposi Ayorinde, artist manager Hannah Beasley-Garrigan and Bristol Older People Forum’s Ian Quaife - who have worked hand-in-hand with the venue's programming team.

Speaking about the event, Todd Wills (Artistic Director at Bristol Beacon) has said: “With the reopening of Bristol Beacon getting closer and closer, we can’t wait to showcase the amazing talents we have right here on our doorstep at The Housewarming.

“This is the first time the public will be able to explore all of our incredible new performance spaces. From the initial call out for artists and the selection from our advisory board, we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that every corner of Bristol’s brilliant creative scene will be celebrated.”
