Head to Bristol Zoo Project for a fun filled festive period this year

Posted on: 27 Oct 2023

This Christmas, Bristol’s top zoo will be transformed into a charmingly decorated festive woodland, surrounded by wildlife and nature.

Festive Woodland runs at Bristol Zoo Project from Saturday 2 December 2023 until Sunday 7 January 2024.

Whether you’re a festive aficionado or a bit of a Scrooge, you can’t get around the fact that Christmas 2023 is just around the corner and, at some time very soon, the kids are going to be clamouring for some Yuletide fun. Well, have no fear, Bristol Zoo Project have you covered.

Admission is included in the ticket price, get 10% off if you book the day before your visit or earlier – secure yours, HERE.

As well as a stunning selection of animals – including wolves, lynxes, wolverines, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs and meerkats - Bristol Zoo Project’s Festive Woodland will feature a programme of wonderful festive events.

On 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December, join Father Christmas and his forest friends, Deer Darlington and Squirrel Nutkins for fun festive fables told in their cosy, festively decorated tipi in the middle of a charming woodland.

Robed in the traditional green, Father Christmas will tell tales filled with messages of kindness and compassion for the natural world, including the story of the humble tree which became the Christmas Tree we know and love today thanks to a magic wish. These drop-in story sessions are free of extra charge.

Returning due to popular demand, Saturday 9 December will see the 100-member-strong Bristol Rock Choir return to the site to perform a medley of fun and feel-good tunes – the perfect warm-up for the festive period. This free performance will take place between 12.30 PM and 1 PM.

Festive Woodland runs at Bristol Zoo Project from Saturday 2 December 2023 until Sunday 7 January 2024 with admission included in the ticket price. Grab your tickets for the park, HERE.
