SWX have today announced that the slang heavy comedy rap outfit will be heading to Bristol next year as part of the 20th-anniversary tour for their first record, Greatest Hits.

 

Goldie Lookin Chain will play Bristol’s SWX on Saturday 4 November 2024.

 

Dubbed ‘The 420 Tour’, this brand-new run of shows will see the Newport natives celebrate 20 years since their first full-length release at 20 UK venues with each show priced at £20. General release tickets for this 2024 gig will go on sale on Saturday 2 November 2023.

Hailing from Newport in South Wales, Goldie Lookin Chain are known for their humorous, controversial, and often vulgar songs that satirise hip-hop culture and modern life with a focus on their own life experiences.

 

The group formed in the early 2000s and were originally made up of main man P. Xain, likeminded louts Adam Hussein and Eggsy before a slew of new members jumped on board. Initially becoming known as a local favourite, GLC soon broke into the mainstream thanks to the rise of internet culture as well as a few cheeky

 

Over the years, have released thirteen albums (including a Christmas effort named) and played support slots with high-profile acts such as Super Furry Animals, The Streets and more. They last appeared in Bristol earlier this year as part of Bristol Sounds’ ‘A Beautiful Day Out’ all-dayer.

 

In addition to Bristol, Goldie Lookin Chain’s ‘The 420 Tour’ will see them play shows in Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Sheffield, Norwich, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oxford, Southampton, Exeter, Nottingham, Newcastle, Gloucester, Swansea, Brighton, London, Birkenhead and Narbeth across 2024.
