Buzz band Yard Act to play Bristol as part of their 2024 ‘Dream Job Tour’

Following the release of standalone single ‘The Trench Coat Museum’ in the Summer, the Leeds post punk outfit have announced a mammoth run of UK and European dates in Spring 2024.

 

Yard Act will play O2 Academy Bristol on Saturday 23 March 2024.

 

The release of ‘Trench Coat Museum’ was accompanied by a music video and co-produced by Remi Kabaka Jr. of Gorillaz. It was the band’s first release since that of their critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize shortlisted debut album, The Overload, in January 2022 and sparked excitement at what the four-piece have planned next!

Yard Act burst onto the scene in 2021 with a slew of bright singles, however, it was last year’s The Overload that truly propelled the Leeds band into the mainstream. The record received rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, The Telegraph, DIY, Rolling Stones (who crowned Yard Act ‘Best Band’ at their award show) and more.

 

The Official Charts Company confirmed the band as the year’s Biggest Breakthrough Act and singles from The Overload received widespread acclaim from the likes of BBC 6 Music. In summer 2022, the band released a special version of album closer ‘100% Endurance’, featuring the legendary Elton John.

 

This year, Yard Act have released their new single and video ‘The Trench Coat Museum’, opened the main stage at Reading & Leeds along with various other festivals and delivered a five night residency at their hometown’s legendary venue Brudenell Social Club – along with comedians Phill Jupitus, Nish Kumar, Lolly Adefope and Harry Hill.

 

As well as Bristol, the UK and Ireland leg of Yard Act’s ‘Dream Job Tour’ will see them play venues in Norwich, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Brighton and London.
