Simple Things Festival announces music programme for its grand return in 2024
Posted on: 26 Sep 2023Back to the venues of Bristol for the first time since 2019 in February, this weeklong programme of shows will culminate in a jam-packed Saturday of night and day events.
Simple Things 2023 will take over Bristol’s city centre between Friday 23 and Thursday 29 February 2023 with the primary night and day programme running on the Saturday.
Renowned for its commitment to innovative and forward-facing music culture, Simple Things will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2024 and are celebrating with a lineup filled to the brim with top musical talent including London-based rock & roll outfit Warmduscher, a special closing concert from electro pop innovators Fever Ray and much more.

Simple Things Festival - who have previously welcomed the likes of Slowdive, Leftfield, IDLES, Death Grips, Skepta and Godspeed You! Black Emperor – have once more announced a stunning selection of forward-thinking acts.
Saturday’s day lineup features a plethora of top acts including veteran grime MC Flowdan, WARP signee Evian Christ, Bristolian industrial techno experimenters Giant Swan, noise rock outfit Gilla Band, a live AV performance from producer Max Cooper, 6 Music favourites Warmduscher, versatile South London artist Wu-Lu and special guests Les Savy Fav.
The night lineup will see sets from London DJ Amaliah, Daisy Moon b2b Danielle, modern reggaeton pioneer DJ Python, Bristolian house producer Julio Bashmore, experimental producer Nick Leon, unconventional DJ Orpheu The Wizard, global sensation Saoirse and many more.
Simple Things will then be closed with an extra special show at Bristol Beacon from Fever Ray. A shapeshifting project from Karin Dreijer of The Knife, Fever Ray uses its unique, leftfield approach to electro pop to explore themes such sexuality and identity. Simple Things 2024 will be ran across The Bristol Beacon, Rough Trade, Strange Brew, SWX and Sportsmans across the day and Lakota & Coroners Court and Strange Brew at night. On the Saturday, the day programme will run between 2 PM and 1 AM with the night programme beginning at 10 PM and ending as late as 8 AM!
