Consisting of frontman and guitarist Oscar Pollock, lead guitarist Ally Baty, bassist Dom Cordell and drummer Hayden Evans, Sundara Karma first broke into the indie scene in the mid-2010s with a refreshingly bright sound that immediately caught the attention of UK music fans.

A succession of acclaimed singles saw the Reading band sign a deal with RCA Records, releasing their full-length debut, Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect, in 2017. The album’s hopeful, pop-orientated sound led to comparisons with the likes of Arcade Fire and The Maccabees with songs ‘Flame’ and ‘She Said’ earning particular praise.

The band followed their debut album with a heavy international touring schedule that included high-profile support slots with the likes of Bastille and Two Door Cinema Club. Their follow-up, 2019’s Ulfilas’ Alphabet, saw the group incorporate more leftfield influences and peaked at 28 in the UK charts.

Now, after a slew of singles and the five-song Kill Me EP in 2020, Sundara Karma are back with their third album, Better Luck Next Time, set to be released on Friday 27 October 2023.

As well as their Bristol date, Sundara Karma’s Better Luck Next Time tour will see them drop by venues in Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester, Leeds, Norwich, Nottingham, Cardiff, Oxford, Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton, Cambridge and London.
