Beautiful ballet production to hit The Bristol Hippodrome next year

Birmingham Royal Ballet’s renowned production of The Sleeping Beauty by Sir Peter Wright is set to wow Bristolian ballet fans when it comes to town in Spring 2024.

 

The Sleeping Beauty by Birmingham Royal Ballet will appear at The Bristol Hippodrome from Thursday 18 until Saturday 20 April 2024.

 

A tale that has delighted audiences for more than 100 years, Sir Peter Wright’s The Sleeping Beauty sprinkles a beautiful dose of ballet magic on the legendary childhood tale and its vibrant cast of familiar characters. General sale for this one opens tomorrow (Wednesday 5 July) at 10 AM.

Cursed by a wicked fairy, the legendary story of The Sleeping Beauty follows a beautiful princess who pricks her finger and falls into a deep, magical sleep to which the only cure is true love’s kiss. 

 

All wrapped up with sparkling, virtuoso dancing from Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as fairytale characters, dazzling spectacle and Tchaikovsky’s glorious score played live by the acclaimed Royal Ballet Sinfonia, this is sure to prove an enchanting experience for the whole family.

 

Birmingham Royal Ballet’s astonishing production was created by their legendary artistic director, the genius behind the company’s famous productions of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake – this is an opportunity you’d be foolish to miss out on.
