With a multi-genre programme of post-punk, psych, art rock, jazz, disco and more already announced to take place across all three rooms at The Crofters Rights, the eight-hour event will also feature DJ The Grey Area as well as more live acts and a club night yet to be announced.

Room 1 of this Glasto alternative extravaganza will feature a swathe of guitar-wielding Bristol heroes. Fans of The Fall, Swans and Sonic Youth will be pleased that much-loved esoteric post-punk outfit Repo Man will be bringing their unique brand of noise rock to the venue.

They will be joined by local favourites and angular post-rockers HAAL – for fans of Slint, Tortoise and Massive Attack – as well as heavy psychedelic groove dwellers Bigbyrd, who will be offering an exciting dose of rock reminiscent of krautrock legends, Can and math rock buzz band Black Midi.

Room 2 is set to be the home of all things electronic. Despite being split between Bristol and Manchester, Getdown Services have established themselves as cult heroes in Bristol thanks to the duo’s infectious new wave and dance style. Joining them are London/Birmingham neo-fusion jazz duo BIGHEADMODE, perfect for fans of Madlib, The Evil Usses and Waldos Gift.

The vibe in the bar is set to be soundtracked by Bristol DJ The Grey Area, supplying a healthy dose of Asian/Middle Eastern/African Grooves/psych rock to proceedings. Not only are there more artists to be added to the lineup but Erratic Batting are also set to announce a club night that will take place directly after the live sets.

Erratic Batting are one of Bristol’s top purveyors of leftfield music through oddball gigs and weirdo club nights. The party planners have previously put on the likes of Ishmael Ensemble, Stanlaey, Qlowski, Balming Tiger and many more. Find out what they’ve got coming up here.

Erratic Batting’s Glasto Not Glasto 2023 will take place at The Crofters Rights on Saturday 24 June 2023. Grab your tickets HERE.
