One of the more unique, accomplished and hysterical stand-up comics about, Jon is perhaps best known as a team captain on Channel 4’s Cats Does Countdown, as well as hosting his own critically acclaimed show Ultimate Worrier, which takes a deep dive into all of Jon’s worries and anxieties.
Jon also starred in the sitcom Meet The Richardsons, written by Lucy Beaumont and Tim Reid. Offering a revealing – yet fictional – look into the frustrated and fictitious marriage of Richardson and his real-life wife Lucy Beaumont, the show received record-breaking figures for DAVE across three series.
A constant feature on UK television and radio, Jon’s most recent TV credits include co-hosting The One Show, appearing on Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, Taskmaster and a whole lot more.
Jon has also ventured into the world of podcasts with his brand-new offering Jon Richardson And The Futurenauts, in which Jon takes Mark Stevenson and Ed Gillespie through his daily worries, from food to climate change and everything in between.
In June 2024, Bristolian comedy fans will have the chance to see Richardson’s new show ‘The Knitwit’ live. The comic has described the show as his most personal yet, interlinking the bleakness of the UK in 2023 with his own experiences.
Jon Richardson will perform ‘The Knitwit’ at the soon-to-be reopened Bristol Beacon on Saturday 13 June 2024. Tickets go on sale Wednesday 22 March and can be found HERE.
