This critically acclaimed production follows Mother Goose (Ian McKellen) and her husband Vic (John Bishop)who run an Animal Sanctuary for waifs and strays and live a wholesome, cosy life in a derelict Debenhams.
However, when Cilla The Goose flies into town, will fame and fortune get the better of them?! Will Ma’s feathers be seriously ruffled? Will Pa tell everyone to get stuffed?! And is their fair life about to turn fowl?
Panto lovers should be prepared for fairies with hefty vocal cords, puppets with a flair for tap dancing and impeccably constructed mayhem that will quack up the whole family. This hilarious family-friendly mother of all pantos is perfect for the Easter break with a healthy dose of fun, farce and plenty of surprises along the way.
Mother Goose is written by Jonathan Harvey (Coronation Street, Gimme Gimme Gimme) and directed by the award-winning Cal McCrystal. Set and Costume design comes from Liz Ascroft, Choreography from Lizzi Gee, Lighting design by Prema Mehta, Sound design by Ben Harrison and Puppet Design by Chris Barlow.
Mother Goose’s star-studded cast also features the likes of Anna-Jane Casey (West Side Story) as Cilla The Goose, Oscar Conlon-Morrey (Only Fools and Horses The Musical) as Jack, Simbi Akande as Jill, Sharon Ballard as Good Fairy Encanta and Karen Mavundukure as Evil Fairy Malignia.
Having already stolen the hearts of audiences up and down the UK, Mother Goose runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Wednesday 12 and Sunday 16 April 2023. Secure your tickets HERE.
