Tickets go on sale tomorrow for smash hit production of The Wizard of Oz

A sensational new production of one of the world’s most beloved musicals is coming straight from The London Palladium to Bristol in 2024.

 

The Wizard of Oz runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 2 and Sunday 7 April 2024.

 

The Bristol Hippodrome are thrilled to announce that The Wizard of Oz, a stage musical based on the legendary story by L. Frank Baum will visit the theatre as part of a UK tour following a summer run at the iconic London Palladium. Tickets for this show go on sale tomorrow, Friday 3 March.

Musical lovers are invited to Join Dorothy, Toto and friends on an unforgettable adventure down the yellow brick road to the merry old land of Oz.

 

Featuring the celebrated original score from the Oscar-winning movie, including ‘Over The Rainbow’, ‘Follow The Yellow Brick Road’ and ‘We're Off To See the Wizard’ – along with additional material from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice - this astonishing production is sure to be a magical experience for all the family.

 

Michael Harrison, the producer of smash-hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is taking the reins of a brand-new production of this beloved musical. Harrison will be joined by director Nikolai Foster (Billy Elliot, A Chorus Line) as well as a whole team of talented creatives.

 

Speaking about the production, Michael Harrison has said: “There really will be no place like the Liverpool Empire this Christmas, as Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion embark on their journey down the Yellow Brick Road.

 

“Nikolai Foster and his team have created a new and magical production of this beloved musical, and we can't wait to take the show to Liverpool and then to audiences all around the country.”
