With first and second release tickets already sold out, a further 45 top artists have announced for the multi-venue festival hosted across two weekends in Bristol and Nottingham.

Dot to Dot 2023 takes place across multiple venues in Bristol on Saturday 27 May.

With the likes of Yard Act, Alvvays and Kofi Stone already on the lineup, festival this week announced a further programme of exciting artists including Irish post-punk outfit The Murder Capital, Bristol favourite Grove and rock and roll chaos merchants Fat Dog.

With tickets flying out the door, it’s time for Bristol music fans to get acquainted with the roster for the 2023 edition of Dot To Dot. Headlining the festival are witty rockers Yard Act who’s debut album, The Overload, received rave reviews last year.

Alvvays are listed below, the Canadian indie pop group recently released their third album Blue Rev. A nervy joyride of a record, it is the five-piece’s first since 2017. They will be joined by The Murder Capital: the Dublin-based post-punk band are fresh from putting out their sophomore album Gigi’s Recovery and are sure to put on a raucous show.

There will also be high profile slots from the likes of a supergroup made of ex-Stereophics and The Maccabees members called 86TVs, Bristol’s very own queer dancehall extraordinaire Grove, atmospheric pop artist BEKA, genre-bending punk act Opus Kink and Teesside noise trailblazers, Benefits.

The undercard is pretty stacked too. Music lovers should keep an eye out for alt-country four-piece Divorce, Speedy Wunderground favourites Heartworms, multi-hyphenate artist Jemima Coulter, experimental hip-hop collective Nukuluk, energetic Amsterdam rockers Personal Trainer, arty London sextet Tapir! and glitch pop producer Tlya X An.

Dot To Dot has always been a breeding ground for up-and-coming artists with superstars including Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran cutting their teeth at the festival. So, with local acts still to be announced, could this year’s roster include the next big thing?

Visit the Dot To Dot website for a comprehensive round-up of all the acts playing.
