Wiper and True launch all new alcohol-free lager

Posted on: 14 Dec 2022

From today, the much-loved Bristol brewery are offering their first alcohol free beverage in the shape of a 0.5% lager named ‘Tomorrow’.

Brewed in a German Helles style, this beer has been years in the making and, from today, cans of ‘Tomorrow’ can be ordered from the Wiper and True website and purchased as a perfectly poured pint from one of their two Bristol taprooms.

Head to the Wiper and True website for more information.

Wiper and True are a real Bristol favourite who are united in one in their love of beer. Since their inception in 2014, the team have not looked back with taproom sites in both St Werburghs and Old Market (opened back in the summer) as well as a stunning selection of beers.

The brewery’s core beers include: ‘Small Beer’ (a light pale ale), ‘Kaleidoscope’ (a pale ale), ‘Sundance’ (an IPA), ‘Milk Shake’ (a milk stout), ‘York Street Helles’ (a Munich lager) and ‘Lemondrop Hill’ (a Gluten-free pale ale) with a revolving cast of new and limited releases also available.

When attention turned to the brewing of a non-alcoholic beer, quality was the principal focus. Using a ‘de-alcoholiser’ machine, Wiper and True have created a full-flavoured lager without comprising technique or ingredients.

At first, a premium, traditional German-style Helles (5% ABV) is created which is then gently processed through a 60-hour long period of dealcoholisation, involving reverse osmosis, that removes the alcohol, leaving only 0.5% ABV.

The result is the alcohol-free beer that Wiper and True have always dreamed of brewing. Indeed, the brewery is the first of its size in the UK to use this innovative, market leading technology.

Beginning today, ‘Tomorrow’ can be found in can or on draught with the lager now available to purchase online or at one of Wiper and True’s taprooms. The brew will be available in bars and shops all over Bristol from next week. Order your cans of ‘Tomorrow’ here.
