Posted on: 08 Dec 2022

Following a successful (if delayed) debut back in October, the new multi-venue festival has announced a raft of brilliant acts for their return in March 2023.

Organised by 1% of One, Ritual Union will return to Bristol on Saturday 25 March.

Yet again, the all-day festival will take over city centre venues SWX, Rough Trade, Strange Brew and Dareshack and, today, organisers have announced a diverse programme of the best music acts from Bristol and beyond.

Super Early Bird tickets are sold out, but Early Bird tickets can be found HERE.

Ritual Union have announced a slew of exciting artists with their first announcement, with many more yet to come. Critically acclaimed indie pop band Porridge Radio headlines the festival. This year, the band release their witty art rock enthused album Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to The Sky and, in 2020, the four-piece earned a Mercury Award nomination for their critically acclaimed album Every Bad.

There will also be high-profile appearances from much-loved Bristol acts noise rockers Heavy Lungs and groundbreaking live techno band Scalping, lo-fi indie rock three-piece The Orielles and London singer-songwriter Rozi Plain.

Eclectic South London indie rock group ALASKALASKA, Welsh rock band Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, jagged post-punks Egyptian Blue, experimental indie rock artist Kiran Leonard, Brighton buzz band Lime Garden, folky singer-songwriter Naima Bock, alt-pop three-piece Pale Blue Eyes, witty punk outfit Panic Shack and post-internet project TVAM will all also be playing.

Rounding off this dazzling first wave roster are local lo-fi four-piece band LIFTER, energetic Manchester group MARUJA, catchy psych-pop outfit Melin Melyn, Bristolian hardcore punks Milo’s Planes, poetic folk artist Pem, London punk rockers Sniffany and The Nits, Bristol duo Try Me, alt-rock project tummyache, the 70s inspired alt-pop artist Vanity Fairy and London band Vegas Water Taxi.

This is only the first announcement of what already looks like a real Bristol highlight of 2023. Tickets for Ritual Union 2023 are currently priced at £28 and can be found HERE.
