Posted on: 30 Oct 2022

Releasing their new album, Blue Skies, to widespread critical acclaim earlier this year, the popular indie-rock trio will now bring it to the UK at a clutch of headline shows in the Summer and Autumn.

Chicago three-piece - Dehd - are performing in Bristol on Wednesday 16 November as part their UK upcoming UK tour.

As part of a string of summer dates, the band appeared at major UK festivals including All Points East (London), End Of The Road (Wiltshire), CONNECT (Edinburgh) and Future Now (Birkenhead), gaining new fans from all over the country in the process.

The upcoming UK shows come swiftly after the release of their most recent single “Eggshells”, which is accompanied by a stunning official video - available to watch above.

'Eggshells' is a track which swirls with depth and shimmering beauty as the band’s sound outgrows the confines of the bedroom pop that’s been tagged beside their name in the the past. Taking cues from escapist fantasies and Jodorowsky films, Dehd’s melancholic euphoria turns off all the lights and lets the Utopian tableaux come to life, with the band roaming the desert in search of catharsis and freedom.

This wonderful single is just one of the many highlights to enjoy on Dehd’s latest album Blue Skies (see cover below); their fourth album, and first for Fat Possum, is loaded with the most compelling, compulsive, and expansive songs written throughout their career.

The follow-up to 2020’s breakthrough record ‘Flower of Devotion’, it offers another jolt of timely hope, only with twice the power. 13 hits that acknowledge how difficult everything from love and sex to living and dying can be, while supplying the inspiration of their own experiences; the album is available to stream in full here.

Dehd took the US by storm with multiple SOLD OUT shows and a slew of raucous shows in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Austin and Chicago. The band also appeared on the nation’s flagship talk show The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s At Home series. The band have spent 2022 building a fierce reputation as one of indie's most vital live and recorded acts.

Now the three-piece are heading out on a limited tour of the UK and Ireland that will take them to venues in London, Bristol, Leeds, Sunderland and Dublin before heading back to the US. Visit the band's website for more information.

Dehd will play Bristol's The Lanes on Wednesday 16 November as part their UK upcoming UK tour. Tickets can be found here.
