The smoky smell of the bonfire, the satisfying crackle of a firework, cosy woollen jumpers and the sweet taste of a toffee apple - we can’t wait for Bonfire Night 2022. 

 

For the last couple of years, events have been sparse due to the ongoing pandemic, but this year there are a variety of firework displays and bonfires taking place all over Bristol.

 

So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself wrapped up, grab some sparklers and maybe even some mulled Thatchers if you're over 18 - a good recipe can be found here. Below we've listed some of the top events taking place all over the city, so, select a Bonfire Night celebration from this list, and away you go! 

 

Low Noise Fireworks 2022 @ Old Down Estate, Foxholes Lane, BS32 4PG | Thursday 3, Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November

 

Running for three nights around Bonfire Night is Old Down Estate's traditional Low Noise display. This fun family evening is complete with everything you'd want from such an occasion with a blazing bonfire, a 12-minute display of low-noise fireworks to music as well as a selection of food and drink.

 

Tickets for this event will only be available in advance due to a strict maximum capacity and it is important for visitors to note that it is not a silent display, the fireworks will be quieter to make it suitable for young children and the on-site animals. Tickets can be found here.

Downend Round Table Fireworks @ King George V Playing Fields, Westerleigh Road, BS16 6AH | Friday 4 November

 

With a sell-out return last year, the renowned Round Table Fireworks is set to prove as popular as ever in 2022. With a range of children's activities, a partnership with local brewery Hop Union Brewery & Taproom and, of course, their stunning firework display, it is one of the city's biggest Bonfire Night events.

 

With proceeds once more going to local charitable causes, this year's spectacle will see an earlier and quieter children's display as well as a designated sparkler zone - attendees are not allowed to bring their own. Visit the website to book your tickets.

Fireworks Display @ Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Seat Unique Stadium, Nevil Road, BS7 9EJ | Friday 4 November

 

The scene is set for a spectacular night of dazzling colours and twinkling skies at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club's Seat Unique Stadium next month. Immerse yourself in the wonder of Bonfire Night on Friday 4 November with this fun-filled fireworks extravaganza at the heart of your local community.

 

Perfect for the whole family, attendees can enjoy all the food, games and stalls that make fireworks season so special, with the evening climaxing with a fabulous fireworks spectacle. The event will raise money for the Club's Charity Partner, Children's Hospice South West. Fireworks to Music @ Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park, Bath Rd, Keynsham, BS31 1TP | Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November

 

Back for another year and once more teaming up with world class pyrotechnics and special effects experts, Aardvark FX, Keynsham is sure to be alight with fireworks for two nights next month.

 

Accompanying the stunning spectacle will be a range of food and drink outlets as well as a funfair with a selection of rides and stalls thanks to Kids World Funfair, this event is expected to sell out soon so grab your ticket now from the event page. Please note the site is card payment only.

Bristol Firework Extravaganza @ Rose Green, 65 Gordon Rd, BS5 7DR | Saturday 5 November

 

Join Rose Green Centre, Bristol West Indian Phoenix Cricket Club and Shooting Fish for an evening of fireworks, food and fun at Rose Green this Bonfire night! 

 

This year the massive event will feature a spectacular children’s performance of Anansi The Spider and Mr Snake, in addition to an amazing Bonfire, Children's Rides, incredible DJs and Music, a fully licensed bar (including hot and alcoholic drinks), delicious Caribbean food and, of course, a spectacular firework display.
