An opportunity to deliver your own creative experience has opened for applications.

Renowned company Neon Dance has announced it is seeking four Cultural Connectors based in Bristol, London, or Oxford to engage with their new work, Prehension Blooms.

Open until Sunday 31 July, successful candidates will create a small, accessible activity for people in their local community to take place in Autumn 2022, also encouraging under-represented communities of older and younger people to attend their event.

More information about the opportunity and how to apply can be found on Neon Dance's website.

Neon Dance, a predominantly arts and performance focussed company, bills itself as 'a place where artists, partners, and people can engage in experiences that are experimental and original, yet accessible to all'.

Prehension Blooms, the work candidates will be engaging with, explores social connectivity and digital cultural participation. The four selected practitioners will be connected with a Prehension Blooms tour venue to help engage their local community and a professional network.

This opportunity is for 18-25 year-olds and over 65s based in Bristol, London or Oxford. Each will receive £200 to put towards their activity, 1-2-1 mentorship, and a £650 fee.

Candidates will encourage members of their local community to attend a performance, excite and engage them in the themes Prehension Blooms explores, and create a small activity that a minimum of 10 people get involved in.

Despite being an arts and performance focussed company, Neon Dance welcomes applications from creative practitioners from any and all disciplines.
