Posted on: 09 Mar 2021

The band's Ashton Gate Stadium performance will now take place in May 2022.

The long-awaited Bristol leg of The Killers' UK tour has been postponed for a second time due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Initially set to perform live at Ashton Gate Stadium in June 2020, the band saw their whole tour rescheduled to May 2021 when events and venues nationwide were cancelled and closed during last year's lockdown.

Due to continued uncertainty regarding crowd safety, however, the shows have been pushed back once again, with the Bristol date moved to Thursday 26 May 2022.

Tickets are sold out at the time of writing, but we expect some to be made available in the coming weeks as and when some ticket holders request refunds. Find out more and get yours via SeeTickets or Ticketmaster.

Responsible for anthems' Mr Brightside' and 'Human', The Killers Americana-inspired sound spans heartland rock, new wave revivalism and indie synth-pop.

Led by renowned vocalist Brandon Flowers, the band have scored been nominated for several major awards worldwide and earned cult status through an array of critically-acclaimed releases and tours.

Confirming the latest rescheduling of their UK and Ireland tour on their social media channels, the band said they were sorry, adding that "there's no way around this."

Also responding to the news, Ashton Gate Stadium Managing Director, Mark Kelly, said:

“It’s a great shame that the tour has had to be postponed for a second time due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the most important thing is keeping people safe during this difficult time.

“With the proposed roadmap out of lockdown recently announced by the Government and hopefully a return to full stadiums this summer, we look forward to hosting at least five gigs next year.”

All tickets purchased for the original 2020 show at Ashton Gate Stadium, or for the rescheduled 2021 performance, will be valid for the revised 2022 date.
