Catch an Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute at Bristol's O2 Academy in 2021Posted on: 17 Nov 2020
Yep, you read that right. It smells like cheeseburgers and teen spirit, daddy-o!
Come along for an evening of rock & roll meets grunge as Elvis fronts Nirvana and gives the band the front man it’s been missing since ’94.
Elvana will be tearing through Nirvana's back catalogue live at the O2 Academy this coming April, splicing up the hits with the King's finest moments as they raise these rock & roll icons from the dead.
Since forming 5 years ago, the unmissable tribute band have played at esteemed venues across the country. In 2018/19, Elvana performed sell-out shows at the Shepherds Bush Empire, Nottingham Rock City, and Manchester Albert Hall, before finishing 2019 with 3 triumphant Glastonbury shows.
During an interview with Rock at Night, the band shed some light on their curious beginning as Elvana, saying that the whole thing "pretty much started as a joke that snowballed into something we never imagined.
"We’ve been in ‘original’ bands for years, but had all but retired to concentrate on the rat race, day jobs and family life. Then a friend of ours asked us to perform some cover songs at their fancy dress party."
Elvana is the embodiment of a joke that got out of hand, providing an intoxicating mix of a silly foundation and a glorious amount of top tunes that should not go unheard by any rock & roll fan.
Elvana will be performing live at Bristol's O2 Academy on Thursday 22 April - to find out more and book your tickets now, click here.
