As part of a nationwide project coming to three renowned venues, theatre operators ATG have unveiled plans to stage special panto productions this Christmas, in Manchester and Milton Keynes as well as Bristol.

Audiences for the festive productions will be completely socially-distanced, with support for the project coming from The National Lottery and Qdos Entertainment, allowing theatres to generate vital income after months of closure.

Tickets for Robin Hood at the Bristol Hippodrome, running from Friday 18 December 2020 - Sunday 10 January 2021, are on sale now and can be found here.

Robin Hood at the Bristol Hippodrome.

Weeks after announcing the cancellation of their scheduled panto for this year, the Bristol Hippodrome excitedly revealed plans for the new production on Wednesday 28 October.

Created exclusively for the Hippodrome stage, Robin Hood promises to be an unforgettable celebration of traditional pantomime, brightening up the festive season and safely welcoming audiences back to the much-loved venue for the first time since March.

With Revel Horwood playing the part of the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood is also set to star actor and funnyman Matt Slack as well as TV's Richard Cadell and his old friend Sooty.

Adhering to ATG's new See It Safely guidelines as well as the government's Performing Arts Working Safely rules, a number of new measures will be put in place to minimise risk of virus transmission between visitors, performers and venue staff.

Customers will be contacted with information ahead of their visit to clearly outline plans for the shows, including details on timed entry, specific entry and exit points, a delivery service for refreshments, contactless payments and locations of hand sanitiser stations.

As well as Bristol's production of Robin Hood, ATG's socially-distanced pantomime series will also be bringing Sleeping Beauty to the Manchester Opera House and Milton Keynes Theatre during this year's festive season.

Tickets for Robin Hood at the Bristol Hippodrome, running from Friday 18 December 2020 - Sunday 10 January 2021, are on sale now and can be found here.
