Expect some stellar live and DJ sets this week as The Crofters Rights deliver a packed-out musical programme.

 

This is it; it's finally the last week of January. You're probably skint, counting your change and crawling towards payday, but those of you with a few quid lying around should pay attention to The Crofters Rights this week.

 

See below for a full rundown of what's on the way at the popular Stokes Croft spot this week, including all-female punk outfit Panic Shack, the Jungle Brown collective and the return of the much-loved Club Djembe.

Panic Shack | Monday 27 January

 

Having earned the valuable acclaim of BBC Radio DJs Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens on their shows on Radio 6 Music and Radio 1, all-female group Panic Shack are headling a huge Monday night gig at the Crofters Rights this week as they look to kickstart their 2020 touring schedule.

 

Opening the night's proceedings will be the Tremolo Ghosts duo and John MOuse performing a solo set.

Hibou | Tuesday 28 January

 

Formerly of Seattle band Craft Spells, American one-man-band Hibou is heading to Bristol this week to bring his dream-pop sound to Crofters. Going down as part of Independent Venue Week 2020, he'll be joined on the night by local indie outfits Some Bodies and Sun Spot.

Utopia: 2 Years Running | Tuesday 28 January

 

After a crazy year in 2019 that saw Utopia bring a string of revered DJs to Bristol (including Folamour, Mafalda and Crazy P among others), the popular promoters are going back to basics in this one to celebrate their second birthday.

 

Expect a steady stream of groovers from start to finish as the Utopia residents provide the soundtrack to a night of upbeat grooves and dancefloor-ready bangers.

Beeswax w/Jessica | Wednesday 29 January

 

Rest assured Beeswax have got what you need to cure your January blues, as they recruit local selector and Headroom curator Jessica to headline their latest midweek knees-up at The Crofters Rights this Wednesday night.

 

Part of the Rhythm Sister collective, Jessica has played parties and festivals across the UK, as well as delivering some unforgettable radio sets and taking care of Headroom Festival. Expect broken house, forward-thinking techno and high-octane bass music as she's joined by a selection of Beeswax residents.

Erratic Batting pres. Jungle Brown + The Caravan Collective | Thursday 30 January

 

Expect a top-notch night of hip-hop in this one as Erratic Batting bring Manchester trio Jungle Brown to The Crofters Rights as part of Independent Venue Week 2020.

 

With an approach rooted in classic 90s hip-hop combined with a distinct modern focus, Jungle Brown's sound is full of positive energy; music for the soul from a fiercely creative group of artists.

Rumble in the Jungle: Send-It Sessions | Thursday 30 January

 

Rumble in the Jungle are bringing the first of their monthly 2020 residency series to the Crofters this week, armed with a huge roster of exciting drum & bass DJs to put the venue's soundsystem to the test.

 

With DJ Hybrid, Hollie-May and a four-way b2b from Crossy, Monroller, Noisy Antics and DJ Gaw on the way, this is certain to be one of the biggest Crofters Rights parties of the year so far.

Rumble in the Jungle: Send-it Sessions.

Leeched | Friday 31 January

 

Snuff Lanes' first show of 2020 is set to bring three of the UK's heaviest live acts on the circuit right now to Stokes Croft, with Mancunian powerhouses Leeched ready to headline in support of their upcoming album, To Dull the Blades of Your Abuse.

 

Providing support on the night will be Bristol favourites Tuskar, as well as chaotic hardcore group Geist.

Club Djembe's Winter Warmer | Friday 31 January

 

Join revered London-based artist Tash LC and Bristol DJs GotSome, Ngaio, DJ Polo and Glade Marie in this one as Club Djembe ramp up the energy and bring some summer heat to Stokes Croft this week.

 

Club Djembe have built a reputation as one of Bristol's most exciting parties in the last 12 months, so you can rest assured the good vibes will be in full flow from start to finish on Friday night.

M!R!M | Saturday 1 February

 

Italian darkwave extraordinaire M!R!M will be making his Bristol debut at The Crofters this weekend, delivering his increasingly popular, 80s synth-pop-inspired sound alongside Locals FEVER 103 and Plastic Estate.

Bodywork + Satsumas | Saturday 1 February

 

Bodywork's first residency of 2020 sees them team up with Satsumas Bristol for a Vitamin-C-boosted party to shoot you up and away from those miserable January blues.

 

With Bodywork's own I-Ron hosting proceedings and getting you warmed up, expect top-notch tunes from a selection of Satsumas residents who have previously turned heads with shows on Noods Radio, NTS and Charlie Bones' breakfast show.
