What do you get if you cross Philip Glass, Emma Stone and Chuck Berry?

Founding member of The Beatles and world-renowned musician Sir Paul McCartney gave a huge hint this morning that he'll be playing at the 50th edition of Glastonbury Festival next summer, and the Glastonbury team have just confirmed his Saturday night slot on the Pyramid Stage.

The revered multi-instrumentalist and songwriter took to Twitter this morning to post a photo of American composer Philip Glass, actress Emma Stone and rock n roll pioneer Chuck Berry, without a caption.

Users immediately figured out the cryptic Tweet, combining the three surnames to make 'Glass-Stone-Berry', or, after weeks of rumours and speculation as to whether or not McCartney would headline the festival, 'Glastonbury'.

Confirmed online by official Glastonbury Festival social media feeds, 2020 is set to be the second time Paul McCartney has headlined the historic festival.

Playing the Pyramid Stage in 2004, he wowed fans with a mammoth 33-track set, including material from his time with The Beatles and Wings as well as his own solo music.

As the Saturday headliner, Paul McCartney joins iconic vocalist Diana Ross, British outfit Wolf Alice, world-renowned DJ Carl Cox and Mike Skinner, better known as The Streets.
