Iconic vocalist Diana Ross confirmed for Glastonbury 2020

Posted on: 12 Oct 2019

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis announced yesterday that iconic vocalist Diana Ross has been confirmed for the highly-coveted legends slot at the festival's 50th Anniversary in 2020.

Diana Ross will perform on the Pyramid Stage for the first time in 2020.

With the likes of Kylie Minogue, Barry Gibb, Lionel Richie, Shirley Bassey, Dolly Parton and more occupying the Glastonbury legends slot in recent years, the festival had to go all out for its 2020 booking to mark its 50th Anniversary.

It's fair to say they've come through with the goods, confirming none other than Detroit icon Diana Ross to play the Pyramid Stage on Sunday afternoon.

Having risen to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes, Diana Ross emerged as an incredible solo performer in her own right, releasing countless hit singles including 'I'm Coming Out', 'Upside Down', 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and many more over the years.

Ross is also one of the most decorated female artists of all time, having won Grammys, MTV VMAs, American Music Awards, a Golden Globe and nominations for Oscars and a BAFTA.

Diana Ross is the first artist confirmed to be appearing at Glastonbury 2020, the 50th Anniversary of the world-renowned festival.
