This Thursday’s concert will feature a solo piano performance from Bristol-based composer, producer, arranger and visual artist Jimmy Galvin alongside special guests sound healer Rounik Sethi, violinist Boris Ming and cellist and bassist Emmy Broughton.

There will also be performances from leading Bristol performers such as poets Lawrence Hoo and Edson Burton, intergalactic space-inspired folk from Ketibu, musicians Kirris J Riviere and Marky Ely, a performance from BDP Rising Voices Choir and a film screening from Colin Moody.

Doctors Without Borders is a French non-governmental organisation that provides medical assistance to people affected by conflicts, epidemics, disasters and exclusion from healthcare.

Made up of tens of thousands of voluntary health professionals, logistics and administrative staff, Doctors Without Borders is a worldwide movement that contains 68,000 people united behind the aim of delivering medical aid to those who need it. Speaking about the concert, headline artist Jimmy Galvin has said:

“This concert is raising funds for the amazing work delivered by Doctors Without Borders. The event aims to platform this community whilst bringing people together through art and music. We hope to deliver an important message: one of humanity with no political bias. Lest we forget that we are all human. As Dostoevsky said, ‘Beauty will save the world’.”
