Direct from Portland, Oregon, Pink Martini are embarking on an eagerly anticipated UK tour throughout April and May.

 

Pink Martini will play Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Friday 3 May 2024.

 

This beloved group are renowned internationally for their genre-bending approach to their craft, drawing inspiration from music from all over the world – crossing the boundaries between classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop. Founded back in 1994 by bandleader and pianist Thomas Lauderdale, Pink Martini are beloved worldwide for blending a range of musical genres and eras, performing in as many as 25 languages.

 

One year later, lead singer China Forbes joined the band and has been charming audiences with her pitch-perfect vocals and mesmerising stage presence ever since. With a live show full of energy, theatricality and audience engagement, this is not one to miss.

 

The band have toured extensively around the world, performing at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York City and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and have also appeared at massive festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival.

 

Pink Martini’s upcoming six-date Spring tour begins at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall before dropping by Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, Oxford New Theatre, Bristol Beacon and Southend Cliffs Pavilion before closing at London Royal Albert Hall. Find out more from the band’s website.
