First up is UK comedy sensation James Acaster with his new show, ‘Hecklers Welcome’. Fresh from appearing in the new Ghostbusters film, Acaster will deliver five shows (Monday 15 – Friday 19 April) of his own ‘origin story’, with a VERY limited number of tickets for the opening performance.

Next up, on Saturday 20 April, is the BAFTA-nominated Rachel Parris, known for her viral satirical segments on The Mash Report and Late Night Mash, which have reached over 100 million views! She’s back with her biggest tour yet – you don’t want to miss this one!

On Wednesday 1 May, it’ll be time for the iconic voice of Love Island and star/writer of ITV sitcom Buffering to take to the BOV stage as Iain Stirling brings his intuitive razor-sharp humour to Bristolian comedy fans with a brand new show, titled ‘RELEVANT’.

Then, on Friday 3 May, online sensation and BBC New Comedy Award finalist Morgan Rees will stop off in Bristol on his first-ever UK tour. This show, ‘Turning Thirsty’, is about the unshackling of shame, embracing the power of Pride and the trials and improvements that come with an experimental 20s.

On Saturday 4 May, legendary comic Ruby Wax will perform her acclaimed show, ‘I’m Not As Well As I Thought I Was’. Ruby’s rawest, darkest, funniest, and most compelling show yet, it returns this year thanks to enormous demand after a complete sell-out first run in 2023.

Next up is another staple of the UK comedy scene Miles Jupp, taking to the stage on Sunday 30 June 2024. Returning to the stage for the first since 2017 due to the discovery of a brain tumour the size of a cherry tomato, the star of The Thick Of It and Ridley Scott’s Napoleon’s new show, ‘On I Bang’, is a must-see event.

Sofie Hagen will perform her new stand-up and storytelling show, ‘Banglord’, on Tuesday 9 July. Covering sexual frustration and world domination, it comes alongside the tour of her new book, Will I Ever Have Sex Again?, a candid, hilarious and disarming attempt to explore our sexual landscape through conversation.

Another returning comedian, Richard Herring, will perform a double header of ‘Can I Have My Ball Back?’ at BOV on Saturday 13 July. In 2021, Herring discovered he had testicular cancer, for a comedian who had done a whole show about male genitalia and written a book about toxic masculinity this felt like some cruel trick of fate.

On Sunday 1 September, star of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News For You and QI Kiri Pritchard-McLean will perform her new show ‘Peacock’. Join the co-host of the cult podcast ‘All Killa No Filla’ for a joyous and uplifting show!

Finally, Sunday 22 September will see Fern Brady perform ‘I Gave You Milk To Drink’. Scotland’s queen of comedy and Sunday Times best-selling author is back on tour with her new live show, ‘I Gave You Milk To Drink’, asking the question: ‘What happens when you get everything you want and it’s not enough?’.
