One of the most influential death metal bands of all time are coming to Bristol

This Autumn, Bristol Beacon will welcome death metal icons Cannibal Corpse as part of their month-long tour with Municipal Waste, Immolation and Schizophrenia.

The legendary five-piece released their critically acclaimed sixteenth studio album Chaos Horrific last September on Metal Blade Records and it is, of course, a full-on Cannibal-style death metal outing. General sale tickets for this show go live at 10 AM on Thursday 28 March 202.

Cannibal Corpse emerged from Buffalo, New York in 1988, instantly catching the attention of the metal scene thanks to their furious musical assault featuring a heavy sound, throaty vocals, and vividly violent lyrics. Revelling in graphic, horror-inspired imagery, the band are deeply controversial and have had multiple albums banned.

 

Made up of vocalist Chris Barnes, guitarists Bob Rusay and Jack Owen, drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz and bassist Alex Webster, Cannibal Corpse are one of metal’s most influential names, boasting a fervent cult fanbase.

 

Throughout their long and colourful career, the band have released such acclaimed albums as 2002’s Gore Obsessed, 2012’s Torture and Violence Unimagined in 2021; they are one of the best-selling metal acts of all time and celebrated their 35th anniversary year in 2023.

 

Their latest record, Chaos Horrific, incorporates themes such as zombie warfare, resetting the human race through mass mutilations and the violent revenge of human trafficking victims.
