Ashton Gate to host its first ever Women’s Six Nations game this Easter weekend

Later this month, the BS3 stadium will stage the colossal clash between the world’s number one team England and bitter rivals, Wales.

 

England will take on Wales at Ashton Gate Stadium in the Women’s Six Nations on Saturday 30 March 2024.

 

This matchup is one of only two home fixtures for The Red Roses in the tournament, making it a rare opportunity to catch some of the world’s best players take to the pitch. Celebrate a monumental day of women’s rugby in Bristol and you might even find yourself back for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup. Having just announced his Six Nations squad, head coach John Mitchell will be hoping for another successful tournament from the 19-time winners.

 

With seven of the squad turning out regularly for Bristol Bears, stars such as Abbie Ward and Holly Aitchison are already very familiar to the South-West, as Aitchison herself says: “Ashton Gate is an amazing place to play rugby and we’re all excited to be heading back there with the Red Roses”.
