Ahead of today’s grand opening, we journeyed into a dimension beyond imagination for a sneak peek at the next chapter of the award-winning Bristol immersive maze experience.

Wake The Tiger’s OUTERverse officially opens its doors to the public today, Friday 2 February 2024.

This out-of-this-world expansion sees an extra 1,000 sqm of walk-through magic added to the ‘Amazement Park’ with fifteen new mind-altering spaces open to explore for the old, the young and the young at heart. Push your imagination to the limit with this vibrant and dynamic labyrinth!

Attracting 300,000 visitors since launching in July 2022, this award-winning experience from the team behind Boomtown has fast become one of Bristol’s must-see attractions with special events including monthly sensory-sensitive sessions, adult-only After Hours evenings every other Friday and various other spectacular events with DJs, live bands and more.

Now, Wake The Tiger has expanded its experience; continuing on from the previous journey through Meridia, visitors will enter the new world through an inter-dimensional boarding gate. Once on the other side, you will be greeted by a robotic travel agent, who will send you on your journey into the OUTERverse.

Throughout the journey you’ll take in a series of unique and creative installations, making use of a segment from an actual plane, a VR headset, a cosmic kitsch-en, a trip down memory lane with nostalgic children’s toys, and plenty of mind-bending easter eggs.

A more dynamic experience than the first phase, the OUTERverse makes use of both virtual and physical interaction to create a more free and visceral experience. Visitors can unleash their inner child with slides, poles and crawl spaces as well as discover less obvious gems hidden within the space.

Away from the natural excitement of the experience, visitors can pause, relax, and enjoy the sheer spectacle of the project with one chamber inspired by the natural beauty of crystals and another bending the mind with a sea of black-and-white geometry.

Once more incorporating salvaged and recycled materials, the OUTERverse is a continuation of the impressive world-building of the first phase, and it will be intriguing to see where the Wake The Tiger team will take this special creation next.

Wake The Tiger’s OUTERverse officially opens its doors to the public today, Friday 2 February 2024. Find out more and book your tickets HERE.
