Indie sensations The Last Dinner Party announce massive tour including Bristol date

Fresh from announcing the release of their debut album, Prelude To Ecstasy, the buzz band have revealed details of a lengthy run of dates across the UK and Ireland.

 

The Last Dinner Party will play O2 Academy Bristol on Friday 4 October 2024.

 

With a sell-out show at The Fleece taking place tomorrow night, Bristol-based fans of the ‘Nothing Matters’ stars will have the chance to see the five-piece in action once again this autumn with general sale tickets going on sale at 8 AM on Friday 9 February – hurry, this is going to be good!

Combining a maximalist pop-heavy approach akin to the output of Kate Bush and hook-heavy baroque reminiscent of Florence and The Machine, The Last Dinner Party have taken the world by storm over the past couple of years with a slew of wildly popular releases.

 

Beginning life in 2021 as simply Dinner Party, the band – made up of Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (guitar), Emily Roberts (guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass) and Aurora Nishevci (keyboard) – changed to their current moniker the following year.

 

After achieving cult status on the London live circuit, the group landed a support slot at The Rolling Stones’ Hyde Park concert before they had even released a single and signed for Island soon after.

 

Last year, the band released their debut single ‘Nothing Matters’ to widespread critical acclaim and millions of streams. Since then it’s been full steam ahead with a constant run of shows, an appearance on US TV and awards including the BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2024 and the BRIT Rising Star award.

 

As well as Bristol, The Last Dinner Party’s Prelude To Ecstasy tour will call on venues in Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Norwich, Lincoln, Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Southampton, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge and London.
