Next round of artists announced for the tenth edition of Bristol Sounds

Placebo and James Arthur have today been announced as the latest headliners for the iconic harbourside concert series which returns to Bristol in June.

 

Bristol Sounds returns to Bristol Amphitheatre from Saturday 22 until Sunday 30 June 2024.

 

Multi-platinum rock band Placebo and the Brit-billion-certified James Arthur are joining what is already a bumper line-up including Skindred, The Breeders, Gentleman’s Dub Club, and The Skints across seven days of live music.

 

Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10 AM on Wednesday 24 with the remaining tickets going on sale at 5 PM on Friday 26 January 2024.

Soon to release his fifth studio album, James Arthur will take to the Bristol Sounds stage on Wednesday 26 with Placebo headlining on Friday 28 June 2024. Support acts for these shows will be announced in the coming months.

 

With Arthur embarking on a SOLD-OUT arena tour later this year, this open-air event is sure to catch him at the top of his game. Tickets for his Bristol Sounds appearance go on sale the same day his brand-new album, Bitter Sweet Love, is unleashed upon the world – making it the perfect pairing for any fan.

 

Making his first Bristol appearance in over six years, Arthur will wow music fans with his powerful vocals and captivating lyrics. This is one of the world’s biggest streaming artists with more than 38 million monthly listeners and his ballads and hits are guaranteed to light up Bristol’s amphitheatre with thousands of torches.

 

Grunge rock icons Placebo will be bringing the nineties nostalgia to Bristol Sounds. It’s been over a quarter of a century since Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal began messing about with broken guitars and toy instruments and now the core duo are on fire once more.

 

The band’s first album in nearly a decade, Never Let Me Go, channels all the pair’s skills as songwriters and sound makers with furious and experimental consequences. Known for their alt-rock blend of goth and electronica, Placebo last played Bristol almost ten years ago and their appearance at Bristol Sounds is currently their only UK date of 2024.
