In March, Gary Davies will bring his immensely popular BBC Radio 2 show to life across the UK, complete with Mastermixes, Dancers and surprise special guests.

 

BBC Radio 2’s Sounds of the 80s: The Live Tour 2024 will hit O2 Academy Bristol on Friday 1 March 2024.

 

Following a triumphant run in 2023, Davies has announced another nationwide tour, bringing his iconic show to life alongside his producer Johnny Kalifornia. Expect appearances from Gary’s gang of Sounds of the 80s dancers, timeless hits and even special guest appearances from 80s stars!

This celebration of everything 80s will be a sensation showcase of iconic hits, including artists such as Wham!, Queen, Madonna, Prince, Whitney and a whole many more artists from the best decade of popular music.

 

If that’s not enough to get you on the dancefloor, certain dates on the tour may even feature guest appearances from notable 80s figures. Past shows have seen artists such as Altered Images’ Clare Grogan, Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Holly Johnson, T’pau’s Carol Decker, Five Stars’ Daneice Pearson, Jaki Graham and Then Jericho’s Mark Shaw grace the stage.

 

Audiences all over the country were wowed when the live tour dropped by venues up and down the country earlier this year and the 2024 run of shows is sure to prove no different. So, don your favourite 80s get-up, send in your live shout outs (it is a radio show, after all!) and dance the night away to classic anthems!

 

Speaking about the 2024 tour, the show’s host and pioneering BBC radio mainstay Gary Davies has said: “I’ve been so overwhelmed with the response and reaction to our initial BBC Radio 2 Sounds of the 80s Live Tour shows.

 

It’s been so much fun hosting them along with ‘Gary’s Gang’, our amazing dancers, my incredible producer Johnny Kalifornia and some fabulous live guests. Having received numerous requests for us to bring the show to more venues in the UK, I’m delighted that we have a bunch of new dates for next year and look forward to partying with you 80s style.”
