In January, guitar hero and Alex Turner collaborator Miles Kane is bringing his One Man Band tour to Bristol for a set packed full of big hooks and even bigger anthems.

 

Miles Kane will play O2 Academy Bristol on Friday 26 January 2024.

 

Kane’s latest record is – as is indicative of his stellar discography – sharp, infectious, urgent and bubbling with memorable singalong moments, it’s Miles at the very top of his game. Across January and February, the beloved rock star will be presenting this new album to audiences up and down the UK!

Wirral-born crooner Miles Kane’s musical journey began when he was just 18 years old, first breaking into the indie consciousness as the frontman of the short-lived band The Rascals, who received acclaim from tastemakers such as the NME and landed a supporting slot with Arctic Monkeys in 2007.

 

It was on this tour that Kane struck up a close friendship with the band’s now-lauded frontman, Alex Turner. The pair were clearly kindred spirits, going on to form baroque pop outfit The Last Shadow Puppets, whose critically acclaimed debut record – 2008’s The Age of the Understatement – was nominated for the Mercury Prize.

 

A charismatic onstage performer, Kane’s output is unmistakably inspired by '60s and 70s rock and has won him a dedicated fanbase over the years, releasing his debut solo album Colour of the Trap in 2011, his follow-up Don’t Forget Who You Are (2013) and Coup de Grace in 2018 – all of which broke into the UK Top 20.

 

Last year, Change the Snow saw Kane further explore his love for music icons Marc Bolan, John Lennon and Paul Weller. His most recent record, One Man Band, was released in August; a smooth, romantic effort that proves that the singer-songwriter is right at the top of his game.

 

As well as Bristol, Miles Kane’s UK tour will see him drop by venues in Leeds, Birmingham, Oxford, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Cambridge, Southampton, Brighton and London.
