Southville theatre announced as the host venue for Bristol Jazz Festival 2024

Bristol Jazz Festival will run at Tobacco Factory Theatres from Friday 22 until Sunday 24 March 2024.
This exciting move marks a significant new chapter for Bristol Jazz Festival as they look to immerse themselves in the heart of the South Bristol community, reaffirming their commitment to inclusion, creativity and, of course, jazz! An early bird 15% discount is available until midnight on Thursday 21 December 2023.

Friday 22 March will see performances from the Fela Kuti, Erykah Badu and Roy Hargrove influenced Ife Ogubjobi at 7 PM, multi-award-winning young saxophonist and composer, Emme Rawicz at 8.30 PM, and Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival commissioned Jimi Hendrix tribute Electric Lady Big Band at 9.30 PM.
On Saturday 23 March, the lineup will feature internationally acclaimed jazz clarinettist Adrian Cox, chart-topping Bristolian Elles Bailey, jazz vocalist Clare Teal and her Quartet, dancefloor instrumentalists Snazzback and critically acclaimed singer Alice Zawadzki.
They will be joined by Jazz Defenders fronted by former U2, Hans Zimmer and MF Doom collaborator George Cooper; Gambian multi-instrumentalist Suntou Susso; jazz-electronica fusion outfit Hippo and Swing Dance with Vero Neka Swing Band – taking place at the nearby St Francis Centre.
Sunday 24 March will welcome performances from unique pairing Vimala Rowe and John Etheridge, leading contemporary jazz artist Andy Sheppard, virtuoso trombonist Dennis Rollins and his accompanying trio and Sheffield fusion project Renegade Brass Band. There will also be workshops and jam sessions throughout the weekend.
