The Louisiana and Breakfast Records are once again teaming up for a special NYE party
Posted on: 18 Dec 2023Described as “THE seasonal cheer choice for any self-respecting slacker-rock rat”, Bristol favourites Breakfast Records are once more taking over the beloved Bristol venue for an evening of festive cover shows and DJ sets.
Breakfast Records Presents: NYE At The Louisiana! takes place between 8 PM and 2 AM Sunday 31 December 2023 – Monday 1 January 2024.
This big silly knees up will feature cover sets from label faves Langkamer (intriguingly named LANGKABBA for one night only), Milo’s Planes and Ex Agent as well as guest DJ sets from Art Is Hard, Bliss Archive and CLUMP Collective. Join this legendary venue and beloved local label to bid farewell to 2023!

Popular Bristol slacker rock outfit Langkamer released their second album The Noon And Midnight Manual earlier this year, a dextrous and anthemic effort that takes an existential take on worries of modern life, wrapping it up with sing-along pop choruses and off-kilter guitar.
Joining them will be Milo’s Planes; mainstays of Bristol’s DIY scene, the ferocious four-piece play melodic post-hardcore with a taste for the noisier corners of music. The band’s members are all prolific musicians with other projects so their shows are much rarer these days – making this appearance even more special!
Also lending their talents to this epic evening will be eccentric local five-piece, Ex Agent. Blending post-rock, free jazz, punk and even gonzo journalism, the group features members from other Bristol projects such as Foot Foot, HAAL, and Broadsheets as well as regularly collaborating with prominent Bristol musicians Natalie Whiteland and Harry Furniss.
Completing the lineup for this New Year’s celebration like no other will be DJs from Art is Hard Records, record label Bliss Archive and Bristol-based visual extraordinaires, Clump Collective.
