GZA The Genius was the most cerebral MC in the Wu-Tang Clan, boasting a cool, precise flow and with a talent for intricate, literate rhymes that weren’t as theatrical as Method Man’s or Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s but, to hip-hop heads, he is just as revered for his flawless technique and lyrical dexterity.

At this event, GZA will be performing his critically acclaimed 1995 album, Liquid Swords, accompanied by a full live band the PHUNKY NOMADS. Seen by many as the strongest solo album from a Wu-Tang member, it catches The Genius at the top of his game.

Leading the stellar lineup of special guests are Wish Master & Billy Whizz. St Paul’s native Wish Master has had a long career, going through many incarnations in that time and Midlands-raised producer DJ Billy Whizz is also a veteran on the scene with an eclectic range of influences.

There will also be an appearance from B WUN, MATEY and SKINNYTALLSS, joining forces to make a three-piece to be reckoned with, dubbed Da Regiment. Their style delivers a unique experience with no one show ever the same - expect heaps of energy, charisma, wordplay and swag.

Completing the lineup will be 80s-born, St Pauls-raised Gaza Glock alongside prolific UK hip-hop heavyweight ILLINFORMED throwing it back to the golden era of hip-hop and versatile Birmingham rapper Tona Montana.
